Tasks
- Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders
- Prescribe medication and treatment
- Refer patients for surgery
- Treat diseases and physiological disorders
- Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
- Act as consultants to other physicians
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- Conduct office/clinic-based consultations and assessments for patients with chronic pain, back pain, nerve pain, and migraines through a variety of methods, including medication management, nerve blocks, and other interventional procedures
- Collaborate with other specialists in a multidisciplinary approach
- Focus on helping patients with ongoing pain that don’t go away with standard treatments
- Medication management, including opiods, and other adjuncts to control pain
- Interventional Procedures: Perform minor nerve blocks, epidural steroid injections, and radiofrequency ablation
- With some duties as a Pain Management Specialist
