In Sept/Oct of 2019 (~3 months ago), I found three Museum-quality Indigenous headdresses at a thrift shop in the Coquitlam area of BC. I can say without question that they are genuine so I purchased them with the intention of returning them to the owner(s) whether that's the relations of the former possesser or his nation.
It's my personal suspicion that Grandfather/Uncle passed away and all his possessions were donated to the thrift shop where I found them. They are aged and were not handled properly but clearly belonged to a great man with tremendous accomplishments and are of significant cultural importance and need to be returned home. They, to my Metis eye, originate from a prairie Nation.
Please be prepared to fully identify yourself and provide telephone contact information.
I won't be able to reply to everyone but I thank you for any advice / links you feel may be helpful to the effort to get these where they belong.
