** Full time post-production video editor

** Full time and permanent
** Flexible hours (for example: choose to start your day between 6am and 10am, work late some days and shorter on others).
** 85% internal projects (for multiple product lines), 15% client projects.
** Focus on post-production: position does _not_ require equipment handling nor production shooting (although we can optionally make use of such secondary talents if you have them).
** Focus on achieving noticeably remarkable and portfolio-worthy results, with only some projects that simply need to be done in a short timeframe (we aim to win awards for our work).
** The same variety as working at an agency, but without the cutting corners to deliver too quickly.
** Engage in constructive debate to challenge your editorial choices; standing up for your choices, while being willing to use respectful criticism, with or without the sugar coating, to iterate into even better designs.
** Orchestration of post-production elements (time coding, video supers, title cards, special effects, typography, transitions).
** Technical finishing (color grading, audio levels, compression, encoding, resizing for multiple destination sizes).
** Integrate motion graphics provided from the motion graphics team or by using third party motion templates.
** Crafting the perfect pace for a video: this is absolutely critical to many videos, too slow or too fast and the effectiveness drops dramatically.
** Screen capture production including deciding zoom in, effects, methods of focusing attention, setting up and populating sample data in apps, sensoring information.
** Collaborating with motion artists, script writers, the marketing team, and providing context to the videographer.
** Selecting and directing voice talent.
** Assist with motion capture and shooting, depending on your skills.
** Explore and be inventive using A/B testing methodology to create test variations, request resulting data from the analytics team, and iterate until we discover new ways to reach peek results for mission critical videos.
** Gain experience with numerous video types: animated explainer videos, YouTube commercials, infographic videos, company culture interviews, training videos, entertainment videos (like drama short stories), and short snippits for social media.
** Does _not_ involve constant tight deadlines nor overtime that lead to results you are not proud of; there is pressure but it is manageable and work has steady hours.
** Does _not_ involve TV broadcasting (low resolutions, restrictive timings).
** High end equipment to work with (triple monitors with a 40” monitor, pen tablets, whatever keyboard or mouse you want us to buy, etc).
** Passionate about video storytelling and post-production specifically
** Can dig deep for stunning results
** Superb understanding of factors that affect perception of quality and engagement of viewers
** Solid sense of timing
** Attention to detail

** No specific requirements for formal education or industry experience. We evaluate each applicant based on merit and potential rather than formalities, however a portfolio is required.
