Hey there,

yeah I'm out in the styx, but I'm seeking to get a project going in a major city; as that's where most gigs would be, for the genres of music I'm keen to create.

Should be mentioned I'm currently a vocalist only, I've no training in songwriting or composition, I also do not currently play any instruments. However I'm keen to learn.

Now onto what I'm looking for, currently I'm seeking a guitarist, bassist, drummer, keyboard/synth for sure, but a saxist would be pretty tight as well. Anyone with experience with experimental soundscapes. This is big for me, as I'm very interested in a fusion type project; however not to be confused with the genre fusion.

My influences heavily lean on 80's goth rock, psychobilly, punk, post-punk, 80's EDM (skinny puppy, nitzer ebb, cassandra complex, fad gadget, attrition), new wave, coldwave, darkwave, nowave, 80's shoegaze, rivet, and deathrock. My more current influences lie in the retro-synthwave, retro-darksynth.

This list of some of my favourites should give better insight, for youtube/google searches if you're not already familiar:

Adam and the Ants, Alien Sex Fiend, All About Eve, And Also the Trees, Andi Sexgang, A Place to Bury Strangers, Attrition (80's era), Ausgang, Azar Swan, Bauhaus, Belgrado, The Birthday Party, Björk, The Bolshoi, Bone Orchard, Brooke Candy, The Cassandra Complex, The Chameleons (UK), Christian Death (Rozz Williams years), Cindytalk, The Cramps, The Church, Clan of Xymox, Cocteau Twins, Cold Showers, The Cure, Dali's Car, Danielle Dax, The Damned, The Dance Society (Steve Rawlings years), Dance with the Dead, David Bowie, Dead Can Dance, Death In June, Depeche Mode, The Doors, Drab Majesty, Echo and the Bunnymen, Einstürzende Neubauten, Erasure, Fad Gadget, Fields of Nephilim, The Fixx, Flesh for Lulu, Fever Ray, Gene Loves Jezebel, Ghost Dance, The Gun Club, Hasil Adkins, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Johnny Cash (early era), Joy Division, The Handsome Family, He Said, Japan, Killing Joke, Klaus Nomi, Kraftwerk, The Lords of the New Church, Love and Rockets, Lydia Lunch, The Mission (UK), Modern English, Neon Judgement, The Naked and the Dead, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Nitzer Ebb, Parálisis Permanente, Perturbator, Pink Turns Blue, Play Dead, Queen, Quite Simple, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Rubella Ballet, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Sex Beat, Sex Gang Children, Skeletal Family, Siiiii, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Sisters of Mercy, Skinny Puppy, The Smiths, The Soft Moon, Southern Death Cult, Specimen, Stiff Kittens, Strawberry Switchblade, The Sugar Cubes, Swans, Tears for Fears, Tones on Tail, Twisted Nerve, Ulterior, UK Decay, The Velvet Underground and Nico, The Veil, Virgin Prunes, Visage, The Wake, Waldruna, Weeknight, The Wire, and Xmal Deutschland. There's probably more I'm forgetting

Anyhow shoot me a message, looking to jam, never been in a band before; however I've had enough stage time on my own at group outings to know, I've got the presence and the ability to lose myself to music the way any good frontman should.

I love surprising crowds with my vocals.

cheers,
Piet
