We have a beautiful year and half red heeler mixed with Akita. His name is Ollie and I love him more than anything. Ollie is very sweet and We wish everyone could see that side of him. He gets really nervous and has anxiety when he is introduced to new people. We have been introducing him to people in his kennel and it takes anywhere from half hour to a week for him to like someone. We joke and say he looks like a dinosaur as his hair stands up on his back. Once Ollie is comfortable and trusts you, he is very lovable and loves to play. Ollie loves to run around and play tag. He loves his blankie and will carry it all around then house. When Ollie is tired he will lay on his blankie and chew it till he falls asleep. We are heart broken that we have to look for a new home for him. We can’t provide him the space for him to run and be free and be a puppy and have fun. Ollie needs someone who is patient and will not hurt him. Ollie is very loving and gets really protective when people raise their voices. For example we had someone staying with us and she raised her voice at her 7 year old son and pointed at him, Ollie jumped in between her and her son, jumped up and pushed her away from her son.
The ideal home setting for Ollie would be on an acreage or farm. No other dogs. Children ages 5 and up.( but needs to be introduced in his kennel first) . Bonus would be no alarm system needed for your home!
We would like to have you come into our home first and meet Ollie while he’s in his kennel. He will bark and growl, hair stand up but once he knows that your safe he will calm down. This may take a few attempts BUT I know that once you meet him and he gets over the initial anxiety and nervousness you will have a friend for life. If your interested please sent me a message or text me at show contact info
We have also added some pictures and videos of how he is with family and his 6lbs brother .
Thank you 💜 Ollie and Family
